regionalArchitects (rA) approaches architecture on an integrated basis that combines architectural design with the joint consideration of physical, economic and social contexts. In order to foster a greater sense of place and meaning, we develop a thorough understanding of historic and existing conditions as the basis on which to build for our clients’ futures.

Ecological and environmental sustainability underscore all the work we produce. We have already designed some of the most successful green buildings in Ontario and elsewhere, and intend to expand on this work in the future. rA ensures that full consideration

is given to the design of all aspects of our projects, from a building to its surroundings to the immediate landscape to the community itself and the surrounding area. Above all, we believe in the maxim that good design results in good development.

rA works in Ontario, across Canada and around the World. We currently have projects in the Greater Golden Horseshoe, Northern Ontario, Wood Buffalo in northern Alberta, East and West Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. In all cases, we believe that architecture has much to contribute to emerging regional or metropolitan form, and rA works closely with its affiliated

practice planningAlliance to support this. rA seeks to ensure that buildings are fully responsive to modern requirements at the same time that they reflect and value cultural and natural context.

We understand the importance of client and user consultation, and are well known for working closely with all stakeholders, from conceptualization through to building occupancy. Our innovative modeling and graphic tools help diverse groups and stakeholders visualize and evaluate proposals.
